KGO-FM Radio/Talk Show Host Producer

 

Created pioneering, commercially sponsored, Lesbian/Gay Radio Program airing 6 hours a week on this ABC-owned radio station.

 

 

1984-86

Community United Against Violence

 

Created Bashing, original film docudrama about violence directed against lesbians and gay men. Bashing was distributed to film festivals, taught in the San Francisco Unified School System, used in Congressional hearings in support of hate crime legislation and a segment was aired on ABC's Nightline.

 

 

 

KQED Radio

 

Arts Reporter/Talk Host. Covered the burgeoning ACTUP movement to fight AIDS. Wrote and produced twice weekly reviews on indie films. Produced film features for National Public Radio.

 

 

1990

Independent Film Producer

to present

Wrote Film Arts Foundation grant for Mike's Film, exploring a sexual relationship between an HIV-positive AIDS activist and his HlV-negative boyfriend. Produced and directed documentary about teens coming out in conservative Sunbelt cities. Co-wrote and directed experimental fiction short, Bodybuilder. Distributed four films to festivals on four continents: Albuquerque , Chicago , Los Angeles , San Francisco , Hong Kong, London , Melbourne , Stockholm , Vancouver , and Wellington .
