International Facilities North Insurance Services (5/04 – Present)

• Provided data entry services entering Workers Comp application information on websites of insurance carriers and retrieving reports from those websites.
• Developed a custom Microsoft Access database called "Jetfile Assistant" which interacted with a SQL Server database used by Workers Comp industry software known as Jetfile. Jetfile Assistant provided tools that supplement Jetfile including:


• Letter Processor – Process large number of letters on a daily basis from carriers to insureds that have to be passed on to agents with cover letters. Using a singular Ms Access form with subforms linked to various Jetfile tables, where user can quickly search for and select a policy record in Jetfile, the Agent handling the account, the appropriate MS Word template (created in Jetfile or unique to Jetfile Assistant) for cover letter and enter additional information, all of which is stored in a temporary Access table. Then click a button and have all letters printed and added to Jetfile database en mass, much faster than using Jetfile.
• Renewal Information Request Processor – producing letters requesting new application for policies about to expire in 90 days and automatically faxing them to agents using PC Fax Server, importing into Jetfile, creating suspense in Jetfile and then sending out 2nd Request for polices where suspense has not been cleared after 2 weeks and automatically clearing suspense after that.
• Loss Runs Reports Generator – Using automated Internet Explorer to log on to websites of carriers that provide Loss Run Reports online and download reports or generate emails to other carriers; then email received reports to requesting agent or internal account manager and importing email into Jetfile database.
• Renewal & Large Account Loss Runs Report Generators – Automatically download or request loss run reports for polices about to expire (needed to accompany renewal applications) as well as monthly loss run reports for accounts with large premiums which are sent to account managers and agents.

ClaudesPlace.com (2002 - Present)

Used C# and Microsoft Visual Studio 2002 & 2003 to create a forum-based website using SQL Server 2000 to store all data including forum entries and comments. Used that program as the basis for ClaudesPlace.com which includes reviews of Independent films from David Lamble, a freelance critic whose reviews also appear in the Bay Area Reporter.

Customer Service / Data Entry - Various Temporary Agencies (4/03 – 4/04)

Provided data entry services at Telephia, a telecommunications firm, entering phone numbers to be dialed by a PC to determine if they are available to be distributed to cell phone companies. Worked for OfficeTeam.

Provided customer service at trade shows including room monitoring and ushering at OracleWorld, Cisco and American Dental Association as well as staffing the Information Booth at SemiCon in San Jose, the Hewlett Packard VIP booth at LinuxWorld , the Media Registration booth at MacWorld and Lead Retrieval machine distribution at Fancy Foods. Worked for Trade Show Temps and On the Move Staffing.

Provided data entry services for 4 months as a Benefits Specialist at United Behavioral Health for Maxim Staffing Solutions. Entered benefits information into database culled from other databases and contract summaries.

Called and faxed insurance agents and producers requesting proof of insurance for properties uses as collateral on commercial loans. Worked at Wells Fargo Bank for Jackson Personnel Agency.
