  • Used C# and Microsoft Visual Studio 2002 & 2003 to create a forum-based website using SQL Server 2000 to store all data including forum entries and comments. Used that program as the basis for ClaudesPlace.com which includes reviews of Independent films from David Lamble, a freelance critic whose reviews also appear in the Bay Area Reporter.


  • Customer Service / Data Entry - Various Temporary Agencies (4/03 – 4/04)
  • Provided data entry services at Telephia, a telecommunications firm, entering phone numbers to be dialed by a PC to determine if they are available to be distributed to cell phone companies. Worked for OfficeTeam.
  • Provided customer service at trade shows including room monitoring and ushering at OracleWorld, Cisco and American Dental Association as well as staffing the Information Booth at SemiCon in San Jose, the Hewlett Packard VIP booth at LinuxWorld , the Media Registration booth at MacWorld and Lead Retrieval machine distribution at Fancy Foods. Worked for Trade Show Temps and On the Move Staffing.
  • Provided data entry services for 4 months as a Benefits Specialist at United Behavioral Health for Maxim Staffing Solutions. Entered benefits information into database culled from other databases and contract summaries.
  • Called and faxed insurance agents and producers requesting proof of insurance for properties uses as collateral on commercial loans. Worked at Wells Fargo Bank for Jackson Personnel Agency.

    Developer and Webmaster for community based website - using Visual Studio.NET, C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, VB.NET, MS SQL Server 2000 and Visual Studio.NET

    Guy Carpenter – Reinsurance subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies (2/81 – 3/02)

    Instrat – Seattle Office (a division of Guy Carpenter providing advanced financial modeling tools). Telecommuted from home in San Francisco.

    Software Engineer (5/99 – 3/02)
    Member of 4 person development team working on MetaRisk, Instrat's proprietary modeling software. Telecommuted from home in San Francisco.

  • Developed and maintained user interface for MetaRisk using Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0.
  • Designed and implemented Windows Explorer style interface to group reinsurance contracts in folders.
  • Created and maintained InstallShield for Windows Installer Setup file.
  • Managed a Notes database for users to report bugs and requests for new features; member of team which implemented requests.
  • Provided IT technical support for developers group.


  • EQECAT – New York Branch (formerly a joint venture between Guy Carpenter and EQE International which produced Catastrophe Risk Management Software). Telecommuted from San Francisco Office.

    Software Developer / System Administrator (5/95 – 5/99)
    Worked as developer for EQECAT-NY while continuing to provide IT support and System Administration for the San Francisco office of Guy Carpenter. Telecommuted from San Francisco office and home.

  • Provided on-site and off-site customer service to clients running EQECAT software for modeling catastrophic losses.
  • Designed and developed a tool to import data from Insurance Industry Standard formatted files into EQECAT software. Used Borland’s Delphi.
  • Used MS Access and Access Basic to create preprocessors to transfer data from proprietary client databases into EQECAT software.
  • Oversaw implementation of major corporate-wide rollout in San Francisco of new hardware platform and migration from Novell Netware, Lotus SmartSuite and cc:Mail to Windows NT, Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
