Constructed of rugged SUPER-TOUGHTM PVC. SUPER-TOUGHTM PVC is an extremely strong and durable plastic material that is impervious to gasoline, oil and salt water. The strong molecular structure of this plastic makes it highly resistant to damage from abrasion, impact and sunlight. This special PVC plastic material also allows more air pressure for greater rigidity while maintaining the PVC material's natural flexibility.
The Mariner 400's SUPER-TOUGHTM construction is made with 3 separate layers of 26.4 gauge () material - two outer layers of heavy-gauge pvc laminated to an inner layer of polyester mesh for extra reinforcement. The quality and design of this material results in extra strength and extreme durability. This reinforced PVC plastic is much thicker than comparable inflatable boats; the Mariner 400 Boat is built to get you there and back!

these mariner boats is very strong and sturdy for fishing or just for a day on the water.i first purchase my mariner boat 2 years ago for fishing and fun with friends,now they all want to be their own captain and have their own boats so i had to order 3 more for them.now they are taking other friends every sunday and we are all loving it,thank you intex mariner.

Satisfied
Though the shipping took longer than the anticipated 3-5 days the boat was exactly what I expected. I would say it comfortably holds 3 adults though you could get as many as 5. It is great for fishing and just relaxing. Blows up in 20 minutes with the hand pump. Is extremely sturdy and easy to transport.

roomy inflatable
This inflatable is tough and roomy; beats all other inflatables I've tried. The removable rigid floor makes standing and casting possible (though probably not recommended.) Though rated for 4 persons, that would be a bit crowded. However, there is plenty of room for 2 adults or 1 adult and 2 children plus gear and still leave enough elbow room to actually cast and reel in the big one. I rigged this with a 30# thrust trolling motor and can comforatbly fish local lakes up to 155 acres. It's heavy to transport from car if the water is far away, but that's the trade off for the extra durable hull material.

I Love It With a Sail On It
The solid floor on the Mariner makes it seem even more spacious than its dimensions (which are generous) would indicate. The big flat floor that you don't sink into makes every square inch of floor useable. Plus, any water that splashes in quickly drains away beneath the floor, so you don't get a wet butt if you sit on the floor.
I mostly use mine fitted with a SailboatsToGo sail kit. I posted some pictures of it under sail above (click on one of the thumbnails under the main picture). The sail kit folds, so together boat and sail kit make a sailboat that fits inside of your car instead of on top of it or on a trailer. Very convenient!
